Congrats to =Astar-Shadow and *yeahgirl11 for winning 3-month subs! Thanks to everyone who participated! I will likely be running something like this every month or so...stay tuned...

-----

1. Ask me a question. It can be totally serious or completely inane. I'll do my best to answer.

2. Browse the "Newest" channel and find something to fav. Post a link to that deviation.

3. Browse the "Newest" channel and give a fair, meaningful, and helpful critique to something you find. Post a link to that deviation. (The piece does not have to have critiques enabled.)

4. Tell me something about yourself.

5. Tell me something interesting you did in the last week.

Everyone who completes all five of my requests will be put into a random drawing for a chance to win a three month subscription! The drawing will occur sometime this Saturday or when there are at least 15 participants.

Some interesting tidbits and techniques: My Resources

Make money with your photography! My Guide To Stock

You know you're a real photographer when:

:bulletblue: Your equipment costs more than your car.
:bulletblue: You often lay on the ground (in public) to get a different perspective (in the middle of the sidewalk or street).
:bulletblue: ^ You no longer even acknowledge the weird looks you receive.
:bulletblue: You have gotten wet trying to get a particular shot.
:bulletblue: You have risked your life or hurt yourself trying to get a particular shot.
:bulletblue: You have been stopped by the police/security/paranoid citizen for shooting.
:bulletblue: You have been prosecuted for trespassing because "it looked better from over there."
:bulletblue: You have the photo/video page on craigslist in your quicklinks.
:bulletblue: You own more cameras than pairs of shoes.
:bulletblue: You've dropped a piece of equipment that is more expensive than the sum of what is in your bank account.
:bulletblue: ^ You're still paying for that particular incident.
:bulletblue: You have access to a camera 90% of the time.
:bulletblue: ^ You curse yourself during the other 10%.
:bulletblue: You have pulled your car over more than once to get a shot when driving only a few miles away.
:bulletblue: You have a tan line from the camera strap.
:bulletblue: You've sold your services or a print to someone you are not related to/best friends with.
:bulletblue: You are able to manually focus and shoot without dropping your cigarette - ~dehk
:bulletblue: 90% of the time, you remember to take your lens cap off - ~dehk
:bulletblue: You've defrosted your battery in the car's defrost before because it got so cold in the winter that the battery wouldn't work - ~dehk
:bulletblue: You use your household vacuum to clean your sensor! - ~dehk
:bulletblue: You have multiple packets of silica gel in your camera bag...and you live in Colorado...
:bulletblue: You've gotten on top of your car to gain a little extra height for a shot - *HaikuKitty
:bulletblue: You curse and swear when people walk into the scene when you're just about to shoot, especially a nice landscape - =Timothy-Sim
:bulletblue: When your friends are tired of getting their picture taken for portrait shots - ~raven2007
:bulletblue: It's when even your mother starts limiting how much you spend just to buy camera equipment. And you're an adult already! - =Timothy-Sim
:bulletblue: You will travel 3 hours to grab 'the perfect shot' and not think twice about it - =SeptSky
:bulletblue: When you're shooting wildlife and suddenly the animals don't even care your around anymore - =htdcam81
:bulletblue: If you can wear out the eye cap on your viewfinder - ~dehk

:bulletblue: If you have any, send them in and I'll post them!

I like your work. You're very talented. =daisyflower2003 introduced your work to me in thumbshare. She's a sweetheart, and I'm very happy she did!
